Get Up and Grow

Ready to scale your business? Mecklenburg County's Get Up & Grow is a premier business development program that enables ambitious business owners with the essential knowledge and skills to significantly increase annual sales and expand operations. This free, 4.5-month program is for established businesses looking to level up. In this program you will develop a customized strategic growth plan with the support of professional consultants, a peer network, and subject-matter experts.

Don’t just manage your business—grow it. The Get Up & Grow program provides the framework and support to turn your vision for expansion into a reality, helping you achieve a new level of success.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be the owner and/or CEO of the company.
     
  • The business must be located in Mecklenburg County.
     
  • The business has been in operation for at least two years.
     
  • The business has at least two employees.
     
  • Attendees must have a strong commitment to grow the business and actively attend program sessions.

Schedule and Application Process

Get Up and Grow operates on a rolling application process.

Spring Term

  • Application Review Period Begins:  September 1
     
  • Decision/Selection Period: October - December
     
  • Program Class Schedule:  January – May
    • Times:  Tuesdays, 9-11:30 a.m. (in person) and Wednesdays, noon to 1 p.m. (virtual)
    • Location: In-person sessions held at Mecklenburg County’s Office of Economic Development in Charlotte, N.C.
