Meck Lending is here to help local small business owners who face challenges in accessing capital through traditional lenders.  

Meck Lending is Mecklenburg County’s revolving loan program that offers loans for business-related purposes, with amounts up to $75,000, and accommodating terms designed to help small business owners secure capital, create and retain jobs, and grow their businesses. 

Accommodating Terms

Meck Lending offers loans up to $75,000 at a 7% fixed interest rate. Loan terms are seven years, with interest-only payments for the first six months, followed by principal and interest payments.

 

 

 

Eligibility Requirements

Business owner and/or business must be in Mecklenburg County. Business must have operated for at least one year (proven with tax returns) and have annual sales under $1 million. Borrowers must at least qualify for alternative or subprime credit.

We encourage you to meet with Office of Economic Development staff first. However, if you're ready to apply, you can review the required documentation and apply on the Carolina Small Business Development Fund website
