Career Expo and Job Readiness Workshops

Mecklenburg County is helping residents get to work. 

Job opportunities are increasing in Mecklenburg County, but some job seekers still have trouble accessing employment that provides a sustainable living wage. To help fill the gap, in February 2024, the Office of Economic Development is hosting two FREE Job Readiness Workshops (Feb. 6 and Feb. 7) and a Career Expo for the construction, maintenance and facility management, and advanced manufacturing industries. 

As a human services organization, Mecklenburg County supports social mobility and high quality of life by connecting job seekers to training and career-ladder employment opportunities. The County also helps local employers fill their hiring vacancies with qualified candidates.
